Pagadian City dance sport representatives competed in the Jamilis’ Scholarship Cup 2023: First Onsite Competition at VMA Global College, Bacolod City on January 29.

Four competitors both in elementary and secondary were all  placed in samba, cha-cha and jive categories: Samantha Jane Apat of Zambo. Sur Nat’l. High School lodged second, Princess Mariell Heuser of Happy Hearts Montessori, third,  Allian Jay Sereno of PCPS, fifth, and Aeleah Brille Ambohot of TSES, sixth, all received medals and certificates for their categories.

Meantime, these learners underwent different trainings to develop their posture, timing, rhythm and body line. They were trained by Mark John Lagrimosa of Pagadian City Dancesport Academy and coached by Annaly Apat of Pagadian City Pilot School.

Further, the event was competed by almost 30 contenders in the country aimed to  develop skills in dance sport, gain confidence and to showcase their talents.  The   VMA Poseidon Dance Theater served as the organizing committee for the said competition.
