The Department of Education, Zamboanga Peninsula, Regional Director, Ruth L. Fuentes, visited few Zamboanga del Norte Division schools on the first day of the class to ensure everything is in order.

Schools Division Superintendent of Zamboanga del Norte, Roy C. Tuballa, together with Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Lourma I. Poculan & Curriculum and Implementation Division Chief, Zyrhine Mayormita joined the Director in monitoring Piñan Central School and Piñan National High School to ensure classrooms and environment is conducive for learning. 

RD Fuentes goal is to see school children safe during the first day of class aside from seeing the number of enrollment per school and other needs and necessities for classroom learning.  

Further, RD Fuentes expressed her gratitude for the all-out support given by the local Government Units through the Special Education Fund and stakeholders, especially for the 365 units of 55-inch high-definition smart televisions for classroom teaching to make class activities more interesting, which can give real-life examples as well as to help improve language skills of learners.
