La Gymnasta de Margos Clinches 32 Gold Medals at ZPRAA Meet 2025

The ZPRAA Meet has been the stepping stone for the yearly prestigious Palarong Pambansa for a while now, and this victory underscores their readiness for the upcoming national competition. La Gymnasta de Margos from Margosatubig District has proven to be evident champions at the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet 2025, held at Baluarte Gymnasium from February 23 to 27, 2025. The team secured an astounding 32 gold medals, highlighting their exceptional skill and persistent dedication to different disciplines in gymnastics.

ZPRAA coaches played a crucial part in this remarkable success story which cannot be overstated. Athletes' skills got refined significantly through their efforts beneath murky circumstances for excellence. Enthusiastic parents and supporters greatly intensified the electrifying atmosphere in gymnasium with fervent cheers that powered athletes achieve remarkable feats suddenly.

La Gymnasta de Margos is an organization that was established in 2012 and has known itself through its steadfast advocacy of gymnastics. Th eir dedication has been unwaveringly producing  top-tier athletes who qualify for the prestigious Palarong Pambansa, the annual national sports competition. The passion and perseverance of La Gymnasta de Margos ensure that their gymnasts not only compete but shine on the national stage, making a mark with every performance. Last year, La Gymnasta de Margos had 12 athletes competing in the Palarong Pambansa 2024. The Aerobic Gymnastics team secured a silver medal in the AeroDance Category under the supervision of coach Janeth B. Ornopia and Precious Ann B. Perocho during this national competition. By the support of the Local Government Unit of Margosatubig and Public Schools District Supervisor Sarah A. Lumabo, La Gymnasta de Margos athletes continue to shine at the Palarong Pambansa year after year. This remarkable achievement is a great pride not only for the province of Zamboanga del Sur but also to the gymnasts themselves as well as the entire team.


As the ZPRAA Meet 2025 ends, it is evident that La Gymnasta de Margos has set a new gauge in the world of gymnastics. "The focus now shifts to Palarong Pambansa 2025, where 13 qualifiers are expected to shine once again, alongside their coaches  Janeth B. Ornopia (Aerobic Gymnastics Elementary), James Claire S. Lomongo (Aerobic Gymnastics Secondary) ,Elvie Jane I. Miro (Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Elementary) and Charmaine Villahermosa (Rhythmic Gymnastics Secondary).". The journey of La Gymnasta de Margos has only just begun, with many more glorious moments anticipated on the horizon.
