Dapitan City paddlers successfully eliminated Pagadian City in the semi-final round in Secondary Boys Doubles 3-0 at New Lituban, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte, February 25.

Dominic Daulong and Brett Owen Hoyohoy of Dapitan City delegation exhibited random attacks and assists closing the first and second set, 11-8.

Pagadian City has also shown exemplary offense and defense, however, Dapitan paddlers were motivated to finally finish the game reaching, 12-10, 3-0 match standing.

“Dako kayo namong kalipay nga naka-silver mi ug kini naghatag kanamo ug kadasig para magpraktis pa,” said Hoyohoy who is still a Grade 7 at Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU).

Daulong emphasized the value of discipline that an athlete must possess in order to achieve victory in big and small wins.
