Stormed with powerful spins and exchanging attacks, Sibugay prevailed in the ZPRAA qualifying Meet, Table Tennis, and secondary boys doubles, April 23.

Undefeated, Ralph Digamon, 16, and Al Timothy  Acoba , 13 of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay ensured a win against Dipolog City's paddlers, Prince Duke Tano and Alexis Gian Montallana.

As the match commenced, Digamon gave a flick-and-flip drive hitting the ball diagonally from corner to corner opening, 11-5.

In the second set, both teams threw hard sponges and counterattacks, however, Digamon and Acoba used the 3rd ball attack incorporating a loop drive to close the set, 3-0.

Able to regain, Tano and Montallana gave and responded lob shots to the opposing team associated with underspin shots, dropping a kill with enough speed unable Sibugay paddlers to make a return, achieving a two-point lead,  11-9. 

Finally, rallies 11-6 heat up the gymnasium creating noise through excessive counter drives and underspins, nevertheless,  Digamon and Acoba guarded every return through a loop by Acoba assisted with an underspins attack by Digamon reaching game point 11-6.

"Nalipay kaayo ko sa among pagdaog kay kabalo mi nga kusog ang Dipolog but with our teamwork, nakaya rajud namo, " Digamon exclaimed 

Acoba shared that it was his first time to play doubles against Dipolog who are known to be great opponents, making records over a decade. 

Said game opened them the chances to represent the Zamboanga Peninsula in the Palarong Pambansa slated at Cebu City.
