The competitors from Sibugay and Dipolog put on quite a show during their match at Claret School of Zamboanga City on April 22, 2024. Zyrus Kier Baga and Tuan Troy Umpon of Sibugay swept the match against their competitors from Dipolog with 11-6, 11-8, 11-3. The synchronized movements of Baga and Umpon allowed them to control the match. According to Coach Regie Baybayan, Zyrus Kier Baga was awarded a gold medal for table tennis last year during Palarong Pambansa, which stirred their match. Coach Regie Baybayan added that Baga and Umpon have their trainers in the person of Louis Tabuko, who helped them throughout their training.
