Sulong EDUKALIDAD Pisay’s new campus: 8 infras rise

The inaugurated eight infras of Pisay’s (Phil. Science High School-PSHS) new campus on December 13, 2019 in Cogon, Dipolog City include the Academic Building I, dormitory buildings I and II, cafeteria and Student’s Activity Center, power house, and Site Development Phases I and III. The perimeter fence and guard house were donated by the Provincial Government of ZDN.    


Prior to its completion, the campus occupied a portion in Dipolog Sports Complex located in Olingan, Dip. City for three years. Recently, 289 scholars are being served by the said  prestigious school from  46 when it started in 2016-2017. 
The event was graced by the presence of DepED Secretary, Leonor Magtolis Briones, DOST Secretary, Fortunato T. dela Pena, and ZDN Governor, Roberto Uy.  


Meanwhile, Dela Peña expressed his appreciation to the DepED for being a partner in providing  Science and Technology education in the country.   He further  appreciated PSHS for its constant commitment to provide quality Science and T echnology education in region nine. 
Also present during the event were DepED Assistant Secretary, Alberto Escobarte,  Dir. Isabelita Borres, ZDN SDS, Assist. Dir. Dr. Pedro Melchor Natividad and other superintendents , Dipolog City Mayor, Darel Dexter Uy, Vice Mayor, Horacio Velasco, ZDN 2nd Dist. Representative, Glona Labadlabad,  former Dip. City Mayor,  Evelyn Uy, former ZDN Congressman, Ernesto Amatong, NGAs, LGUs and PSHS Officials, faculty, students and other guests. 


RA 8496 mandated the establishment of the  Philippine Science High School Campuses across the nation. The Cogon,  Dipolog City Campus is the 16th PSHS in the country. (Info courtesy of Provincial Press Bureau)
