The ZPRAA 2025 Wushu Sanda championship concluded today, delivering a series of intense and exciting matches. Athletes showed exceptional skill and determination across various weight categories. 

The 42kg female division saw a hard-fought victory for Jillian O. Tundan of Zamboanga del Norte over Josephia C. Santa Romana of Zamboanga del Sur. In the male 42kg category, Francis Jhon C. Unio of ZaNorte emerged victorious against Jeric B. Torres of Zamboanga City division. 

Anna Marie A. Gallego of Zamboanga City also secured a win against Heziel T. Umban of Zamboanga del Sur in 45 kg female category, while Javen B. Delos Reyes of Zamboanga del Sur defeated Reniel D. Ducay of Zamboanga City in the male division. 

In the 48kg male weight category, Earl Jay C. Marquez of Zamboanga City defeated Daniel Y. Candelaria of Zamboanga del Sur in the 48B kg division, and Jhon Raznove G. Oganera triumphed over Shynn Mark L. Guasis in the 48A kg division. Jullia Marielle L. Alfaro of Zamboanga City also secured a win, defeating Dawn Ilysh Nicole L. Capa of Dipolog City in 48kg female division. 

Prince Sid M. Solabar of Zamboanga del Sur showcased strong performances defeating Richard V. Ledama of Dipolog City in the 52kg male category, while Rachelle R. Limen of Zamboanga City secured victory against KC B. Tantiado of Zamboanga Sibugay in female category. 

Finally, MC Marquis Earl B. Sebastian claimed victory in the 56 kg male division, defeating Lucky Jones M. Formacion of Zamboanga del Norte. 

The championship was a testament to the dedication, talent and skills of the Zamboanga Peninsula athletes. Technical officials expressed their gratitude to the coaches and athletes, congratulating them for advancing to the next level of competition, the Palarong Pambansa to be held at Laog, Ilocos Norte.
