Zamboanga City started strong, dominating the first half with a commanding 42-28 lead. However, they struggled in the third quarter, plagued by miscommunication and missed free throws, allowing Zamboanga Sibugay to surge ahead, 53-47. The tide turned in the final quarter when foul troubles hit Zamboanga Sibugay hard, with three key players fouling out. Seizing the opportunity, Zamboanga City regained control and sealed the victory.

Despite a brief moment of tension between two players in the opening quarter, both teams delivered a competitive and hard-fought match. Zamboanga City now awaits their final opponent as they continue their unbeaten run in the tournament with a twice-to-beat advantage.
